FAQs

Find answers to commonly asked questions about Botox treatments at Eden Clinic.

What is Botox?

Botox is a neurotoxin that is injected into the muscles to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, preventing them from contracting.

Is Botox safe?

Yes, Botox is considered safe when administered by a qualified medical professional. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects. It is important to discuss these with your doctor before undergoing treatment.

How long does Botox last?

The effects of Botox typically last for 3 to 6 months. Over time, the muscles will regain their movement and wrinkles may reappear. To maintain the results, repeat treatments are necessary.

Does Botox hurt?

Botox injections may cause some discomfort, but the pain is usually minimal and brief. The needles used are very fine, and a numbing cream can be applied to the skin to minimize any discomfort.

Are there any side effects?

Common side effects of Botox include bruising, swelling, and redness at the injection site. In rare cases, more serious side effects such as muscle weakness or drooping eyelids may occur. It is important to seek medical attention if you experience any unusual symptoms.
